The Japanese food use a recipe peculiar to Japan. In the Tokyo version of prestigious restaurant guide "Michelin" published in 2007, approximately 60% was a Japanese restaurant among 150 houses. The media including TV by effect, a lot of Japanese celebrity cooks playing an active part globally appear. Japan have the four seasons and Japan is blessed with ingredients. The Japanese foods evolve every day and Japanese food become popular in the world. Because Japanese food is healthy and delicious. The Japanese restaurant provides time and place, and it can touch by Japanese foods culture.
There is the Japanese restaurant of about 24,000 stores abroad. Most one is North America. Next is Asia. A lot of Japanese restaurants open a store in the place where there are Japanese-person and Japanese residents abroad. Japanese foods are sushi for many Americans. In the restaurant of New York, there are many stores specializing in sushi. Sushi is handled in other restaurants and cafes. Take-outs of the sushi spread in the supermarket. Japanese food restaurant are popular in Hong Kong. Japanese foods are offered with a family restaurant and belt-conveyor sushi in Thailand.

 Grilling foods on an iron plate to cook in front is popular abroad. The Japanese food of the new sense that increased arrangement of the Western food and the shop where interior decoration is high-quality is popular abroad. A manager of the restaurants is not a Japanese. Most of managers is working a Korean and a Chinese.

I have been to foreign country. I visited Europe and Asia. I have eaten several times in a Japanese restaurant. All the dishes were Japanese food. The salesclerk was a Japanese and a Hungarian. The owner was a Japanese. The salesclerk of the foreigner can speak Japanese. The menu was written by a Romaji. I think the ingredients to use something like Japanese ingredients. Because taste is similar. The miso soup and the tea were taste of Japan. The Japanese restaurant was the best for oneself who got tired of local food. It was delicious so as to cry.


I think the Japanese restaurant is a place letting you feel a hometown for a person staying for a long time abroad. The Japanese restaurant is the place that is very good for a Japanese and a foreigner. The Japanese restaurant can convey the good point of Japanese foods all over the world. I want many people to know the good more Japanese restaurants. I think that visit a Japanese restaurant to more people and want you to eat Japanese foods. I think the Japanese restaurant is wonderful.

2.Food culture

The food culture is formed by a climate and environment of nature. It have a regional and ethnic characteristic. In this way, special Japanese food culture is born. The Japanese food is opposite words of the Western food.


The families who do not make a dish increase recently. Because they depend on eating out. The Japanese food was not cooked at the home, and an overseas dish was cooked at the home. On the other hand, Japanese food is popular abroad and Japanese food is loved by world people.

The sushi is the origin in Southeast Asia. Japanese food culture is in the background culture of China and Korean Peninsula. Japanese food culture became the original thing in Meiji era.

Japanese food culture is supported by blessings of nature. The Japanese foods are healthier than the United States. Therefore Japan is a longevity country. The Japanese food is respect for nature. Seasoning developed by the spread of electric refrigerators. And the kinds of the fish is increased, because the pelagic fishing of development.



They say "itadakimasu" when Japanese people begin to eat dish. They are thank for blessings of nature. A rule of how to use and how to eat chopsticks was decide from old days. The elementary school lunch is time recommended it now. (Eat triangle)

The Japanese people are to cherish a season. They likes seasonal food of the four season. In addition, they are to cherish the seasonal scene. Feel a season is not only it. A pottery can feel a season. But, Japanese food culture is change now. It is westernized. The children who do not eat breakfast increase. The children who do not eat miso soup increase.

I think that the Japanese foods culture is changed. Japan is blessed in nature and environment and a season. There is the good tradition, but does not follow. I think introduce in Western food is good but I think too much introduce it is not good. Because I think a parent does not tell a tradition to a child as a cause. I want children to know the Japanese traditional dish.
I think the Japanese foods have very good culture. I wish to eat dish with thanks. And I want Japanese people to think about more Japanese foods. Because the Japanese foods are splendid. I want to convey food culture to Japanese people.
